2012 – by Stef Viaene

Belgian beauty Delfine Bafort writhes sensually along the flanks of a mysterious stallion in director Stef Viaene’s intimate physical study, Delfine. Commissioned to celebrate the opening of the Womens Designer Galleries at London department store Selfridges, Delfine is part of a series of seven unique shorts by different directors invoking the essence of designers including Dries Van Noten, Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens. Each short explores the idea of a strong female character, with husband and wife design team An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx choosing to work with fellow Belgians Viaene and Bafort. “The project is not about clothes, it’s about character,” says Selfridges’ Creative Director Alannah Weston.
